Last April the Law on Waste and Contaminated Soils for a circular economy 7\/2022<\/a> was finally published, which will come into force the 1st of January 2023.
\nTitle VII of this Law contains the fiscal measures to promote circular economy<\/strong>, including a special tax on non-reusable plastic packaging, commonly known as \u201ctax on plastic\u201d.<\/p>\n

Fiscal measures of the Tax<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The fiscal measures<\/a> have already been published in the Tax Agency<\/strong> (Agencia Tributaria, AEAT) website, under the Special and Environmental Taxes section. We summarise below the content proposed by the AEAT:<\/p>\n

  2. Calculation of the tax fee<\/li>\n
  3. Settlement and payment methods<\/li>\n
  4. Fiscal benefits<\/li>\n
  5. Custom formalities<\/li>\n
  6. Necessary technical documentation<\/li>\n
  7. Q&A<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    However, the tax management rules is still pending for approval by the administration.<\/p>\n

    We interpret the Tax on plastic for you<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n
