EsPl\u00e1sticos, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, has presented this morning the Strategy of the Spanish Plastics Industry, a roadmap that will mark the future of the sector, betting on sustainability, circularity and competitiveness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

EsPl\u00e1sticos, the platform that represents the value chain of the plastics industry in Spain, together with the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, has unveiled the first Strategy of the Spanish Plastics Industry in an event that has taken place in the auditorium of the Ministry and has brought together representatives of the sector, as well as institutional leaders.<\/p>\n

The event highlighted the importance of this Strategy, which marks a turning point for the sector by providing a \u201creference framework that promotes innovation, competitiveness and sustainability<\/strong>\u201d, as explained by the platform. This is intended to reinforce the industry’s essential role in the national economy and its capacity to meet social and environmental challenges.<\/p>\n

The strategy of the Spanish plastics industry<\/h1>\n

The document presented is the result of collaboration between industry and public administrations and defines the priority areas and lines of action<\/strong> to address these challenges. These include research in eco-design, digital transformation, training and talent attraction, education and sectoral awareness, and regulatory harmonization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Details of the event<\/h1>\n

During the day, attendees were welcomed by Marta Jaumandreu, journalist and presenter, who acted as master of ceremonies. The institutional inauguration was led by Jordi Garc\u00eda Brustenga, Director of Industrial Strategy and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism<\/strong>. Subsequently, Luis Cediel, General Director of ANAIP<\/strong> (Spanish Association of Plastics Industrialists), presented the platform. Alicia Mart\u00edn, spokesperson for EsPl\u00e1sticos<\/strong>, explained the details of the Spanish Plastics Industry Strategy.<\/p>\n

A highlight of the event was the round table<\/strong> with the participation of different representatives of the entire value chain: Jos\u00e9 Antonio Costa Mochol\u00ed<\/strong> (AIMPLAS, Plastic Technology Institute), David Eslava<\/strong> (Eslava Plasticos), Antonio Logro\u00f1o (Dow) and Ana \u00c1lvarez<\/strong> (Grupo Armando Alvarez), to highlight the need for public-private collaboration to improve the competitiveness of the sector<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In her speech, Ana \u00c1lvarez<\/strong> conveyed the idea that \u201cthe plastics sector is in the midst of a transformation process and requires close collaboration with the administration to establish a common regulatory framework for the whole of Europe and to promote collection systems<\/strong> that favor the circularity of plastics\u201d. The speakers agreed on the importance of working together to promote the sustainable growth of the industry.<\/p>\n
